Connection Name: A user-defined name for the connection. 
 
Interface: Select the interface the IPSec tunnel will apply to. 
 
WAN1: Select interface WAN1 
 
WAN2: Select interface WAN2 
 
Auto: The device will automatically apply the tunnel to WAN1 or WAN2 
depending on which WAN interface is active when the IPSec tunnel is being 
established. Note. Auto only applies to Fail Over mode. For Load Balance mode, 
please do not select "Auto". In Load Balance mode, Auto will be forced to WAN1 
interface if Auto is selected. 
 
Pre-shared Key: This is for the Internet Key Exchange (IKE) protocol. IKE is used to 
establish a shared security policy and authenticated keys for services (such as IPSec) 
that require a key. Before any IPSec traffic can be passed, each router must be able 
to verify the identity of its peer. This can be done by manually entering the 
pre-shared key into both sides (router or hosts). 
 
Connection Type:   
There are 5 connection types: 
(1)LAN to LAN: BiGuard would like to establish an IPSec VPN tunnel with remote 
router using Fixed Internet IP or domain name by using main mode.
