How to Configure the UDLD Protocol
Disabling UDLD on Fiber-Optic LAN Interfaces
To disable the UDLD on individual fiber-optic LAN ports, perform this task:

Example:
Router> enable
Enables the privileged EXEC mode.
Enter your password, if prompted.
Step 2
configure terminal
Example:
Router# configure terminal
Enters the global configuration mode.
Step 3
interface
type slot/port
Example:
Router(config)# interface gigabitethernet2/2
Selects the LAN port to configure.
Step 4
udld port
disable
no udld port disable
Example:
Router(config)# udld port disable
Disables UDLD on a fiber-optic LAN port.
Use the no form of this command to revert to the udld
enable global configuration command setting.
