The NMSI looks for the 

script when one of the following events occur:

• NMSI receives an alarm trap from the Call Management System (CMS)

• NMSI receives an exception event from the DNM application for the CMS

Then the NMSI calls the script and passes the values listed below to the alarm notification 
program. If a value is not defined, then the NMSI assigns the alarm the string "NULL_
FIELD."
