High Speed
ZyXEL’s G-405 Wireless Ethernet Adapter is IEEE802.11g standard compliant and delivers 54Mbps transmission speed —
five times faster than the current IEEE802.11b wireless network standard. With ZyXEL’s G-405, which is designed for any
Ethernet-ready device, users can enjoy Internet resources, access e-mails and deliver large files such as MP3s or videos
with an easy and safe high-speed wireless connection.
Effortless Bridging Capabilities
There is no need to install drivers! As a wireless Ethernet Bridge, ZyXEL’s G-405 quickly enables any Ethernet-ready
device with wireless connectivity, including network printers, print servers, Web cameras, on-line game consoles and any
Windows/non-Windows PC. Furthermore, ZyXEL’s G-405 can easily bridge multiple Ethernet clients to a wireless AP for
workgroup applications.
Maximum Freedom of Mobility
ZyXEL’s G-405 maximizes the ability to roam within a WLAN, whether in the home, office or public hot spots such as
airports, cafés and hotels. Compatible with both 802.11b and 802.11g standard WLAN equipments, ZyXEL’s G-405
interoperates with most widely deployed wireless networks.
Enhanced Wireless Security
In addition to basic 64/128-bit WEP encryption, ZyXEL’s G-405 also supports enhanced wireless security mechanisms
such as 802.1x authentication, EAP-MD5/EAP-TLS/EAP-TTLS/PEAP* and Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA). These enhanced
security measures only allow authorized users to access the network, further protecting data from being stolen during
wireless transmission.
