5. Verify the following front panel status indications (see Figure 6-40).

DS1 status indicators will blink yellow for 10 to 15 seconds and then light 
green when frame synchronization is established. (Indicators will not light 
if DS1s are set out of service.)

If status indications are not correct, refer to Diagnostics & Troubleshooting on

6. Display status of DS1s on Quad T1 Framer card by entering the following command:

status ds1 <n>

A message similar to the following will appear for each DS1.

Status for DS1 1:
    Receive:                 Traffic
    Transmit:                Traffic

DS1 status display shows Traffic in receive and transmit directions.

7. Remove DS1 loop back at patch panel.

8. If required, set DS1s on Quad T1 Framer card out of service by entering the following command, 

where <n> is the DS1 number or range of DS1 numbers:

set ds1 <n> down

Example:

set ds1 9 down

Example:

set ds1 9-12 down

9. End management session by entering following command:
