Settings are text strings and may use any combination of letters and numbers. 

Settings must be enclosed in quote marks. The System Name, Location, and Contact 
strings may contain up to 255 characters. Community strings may contain up to 32 
characters.

1. Show current SNMP settings with the following command:

2. If SNMP settings are correct, skip remaining steps.

3. Set SNMP System Name or Identification code with the following command:

set snmp name <"setting">

Example:

set snmp name "Acme Corp AN#2"

Telcordia (Bellcore) Common Language Location Identifier (CLLI) codes are 

text strings with up to 11 characters.

4. Set SNMP System Location or CLLI code with the following command:

set snmp location <"setting">

Example:

set snmp location "DNVRCO1A201"

Example:

set snmp location "Acme Corp AN#2"

5. Set SNMP System Contact with the following command:

set snmp contact <"setting">

Example:

set snmp contact "Site Manager"

6. Set SNMP Get-Community string with the following command:

set snmp getcom <"setting">

Example:

set snmp getcom "Public"

7. Set SNMP Set-Community string with the following command:

set snmp setcom <"setting">
