Connecting SCSI interface for Macintosh
When your printer has been positioned in a suitable lo-
cation, you can connect it to your Macintosh computer
with a SCSI interface and to a suitable AC power
source with the power cable.
Connecting the Macintosh SCSI interface
module
When using your printer with a Macintosh computer,
the printer must be connected to the computer via a
SCSI interface module. To install the SCSI interface
module on your printer, follow these steps:
1.
Before connecting the SCSI interface module
turn off the computer and printer, and disconnect
the printer power cord.
Note:
The SCSI interface module cannot be connected or dis-
connected until the printer power cord has been
removed.
2.
Remove the rectangular plastic connector cover
(1) located to the right of the printer port on the
back of the printer. To remove the cover locate the
black tab on the bottom of the cover, pull it up,
and twist it until it breaks free.
3.
Angle the SCSI interface module (1) so that the
tab on top of the module slips under the top edge
of the computer printer cable slot. The top edge
of the module should rest against the frame of the
printer.
4.
Gently press the bottom of the module until it
clicks into place.
