In today’s business world, color sells. With printed
material, color increases readership an average
of 40%... Retention of material increases as much as
65% with color versus black and white... People are
55% more likely to pick up a full-color mail piece first...
Use of color on packaging or selling material can
increase the likelihood of purchase by 80% or more!
Just as important in your business world: size matters.
You design tabloid-size materials to showcase
concepts for client approval... You distribute collateral
— newsletters and multi-page brochures — with an
occasional full-bleed graphic... And you prefer to
reproduce your full-color spreadsheets with full-color
char ts in full size...
Yet, despite the power of color to capture attention
and the ability of size to fully encompass a design
and message, they’re still missing from 90% of the
business materials printed in-house. That’s
because tabloid-format color business printing
has not proven to be both cost effective and
productivity enhancing.
Until today...
Fast, flexible, affordable color
printing — up to 12" x 18"
The OKI
®
C9000 Series combines ever ything you
want in business color printers: high-quality
reproduction, super-fast printing speed, versatile
and high-capacity paper handling, ease of use, and
low operating costs.
Available in stand-alone or network models, these
printers deliver vibrant full-color output at an industry-
leading speed of up to 21 pages per minute, and
clear, sharp monochrome printing at up to 26 ppm.
Individual models come with or can be configured
with automatic 2-sided printing, a 5 GB hard disk
drive, up to 1,024 megabytes of memor y, paper
capacity of up to 2,850 sheets, and 10/100 Base-T
Ethernet connectivity via print ser ver cards.
Print your big ideas right in your workspace, not
at the neighborhood copy center. “Tabloid extra”
paper  — the offset printing industr y’s term for
12" x 18" sheets, slightly larger than A3 — enables
the C9000 Series to print ledger-size layouts with
crop marks and full-page bleed color graphics.
It’s the only color for your in-house
business needs!
Low operating costs —
short term and long run
OKI C9000 Series printers are
among the most cost-effective
machines on the market today.
Under normal day-to-day usage, you
can save substantially on the cost
per printed page with a C9000 Series
printer versus color laser, color inkjet
and, especially, outside copy ser vices.
Long term, those savings really add up.
What’s more —or less — the cost of a C9000
Series black-and-white page is comparable to

laser printers, so you can replace your slower
monochrome printers and use a C9000 Series
color printer for all your business printing.
The power of Single Pass Color
®
Digital Technology
At the hear t of the C9000 Series’ capabilities is
a compact Digital LED (light-emitting diode) system.
OKI Single Pass Color utilizes four in-line Digital LED
printheads and image drums to speed the page
through, laying down cyan, magenta, yellow and black
toner in one pass. This process enables faster
document throughput — allowing you to get more
produced in less time.
Conventional color laser printers, on the other hand,
require four revolutions of the image drum before
the toner is fused and the output delivered. Single
Pass Color engineering also allows C9000 Series
Digital LED printers to print on various thicknesses
of paper media, including heavier card and index
stock, as well as labels and transparencies.
From postcards to posters —
and lots of them
The C9000 Series brings color to all sizes of business
output: postcard, executive, letter, A4, folio, legal,
A3, and ledger/tabloid (including oversize versions).
The standard 650-sheet paper capacity — 550-sheet
cassette and 100-sheet multi-purpose feeder — can
be expanded to 2,850 sheets with options. Combine
that with specially developed OKI high-capacity toner
car tridges and long-life image drums to keep user
inter ventions to an all-time minimum.
A compact Automatic Duplexer — standard on the
C9200dxn and C9400dxn, optional on the other
models — allows double-sided printing, enabling you
to expand your creative potential without sacrificing
productivity (not to mention saving paper while
maximizing your supplies budget).
Designed and built to perform
High-speed data processing is an integral key to
the C9000 Series printers’ professional color output.

for your documents to print from your PC or Mac

In addition, built-in automatic color registration
ensures that colors are aligned with precision, which
enables proprietar y Digital LED technology to
deliver superb print quality at resolutions up to true
1200 x 1200 dpi (C9400dxn).
Powerful, upgradable memory
The C9000 Series offers a choice of standard
memor y configurations and upgrades,
allowing you to maximize the performance
of your printer now or as your needs
for large documents and complex
graphics grow.
Both the C9200 and C9200n models ship with a
generous 128 MB of RAM. For more intensive

model offers 320 MB. All four models can be
upgraded to 1,024 MB of RAM.
The C9200n, C9200dxn and C9400dxn are also
equipped with an internal 5 GB hard disk drive
(optional on the C9200) to increase their capacity
for handling larger digital files.
Flexible network connectivity
The Digital LED Color printers of the C9000 Series
can merge seamlessly into any office environment.
All C9000 Series printers come with both IEEE 1284
Bi-directional Parallel and Universal Serial Bus (USB)
interfaces. They can be configured as stand-alone
desktop units or as workgroup printers connected
to the network via a 10/100 Base-T internal print
server card — an OkiLAN
®
6200e — standard in all
models except the C9200, for which it’s an option.
The OkiLAN 6200e provides industr y-standard
network protocols, which include TCP/IP, IPX/SPX,
NDS, IPP, SNMP, NetBEUI
®
and EtherTalk
®
. It also
suppor ts standard Printer MIB and MIB II, and
supplies private OKI MIB to enhance network
management through access to a wide range of
printer menu settings.
Local or remote management
You can manage your C9000 Series printers with
off-the-shelf programs such as JetAdmin
®
or Web
JetAdmin
®
— or you can increase reporting capability
by using OkiView
®
utilities for printer set-up and status
monitoring.
With the web server embedded in the OkiLAN card,
C9000 Series printers can be managed remotely:
simply type a printer’s IP address into your browser
and its current status will be displayed on-screen.
Machine usage, toner levels and drum life can also
be viewed, and both printer menu and network
settings can be adjusted.
Quality. Affordability. Productivity. Proof positive that
OKI printers should be your leading source for color
output solutions — today and tomorrow.
