Service Processor
207
This menu may be used to set or change the telephone numbers for reporting
a system failure. The SP allows setting or changing telephone numbers for:
Service Center Telephone Number
The number of the service center computer. The service center usually
includes a computer that takes calls from servers with call-out capability. This
computer is referred to as the
catcher. The catcher expects messages in a
specific format to which Service Processor conforms. For more information
about the format and catcher computers, refer to the README file in the AIX
/usr/samples/syscatch directory.
Customer Administration Center Telephone Number
The number of the System Administration Center computer (catcher) that
receives problem calls from servers.
Digital Pager Telephone Number
The number for a pager carried by someone who responds to problem calls
from your server.
Customer System Telephone Number
The telephone number of a phone near the server or answered by someone
responsible for the server. This is the telephone number left on the pager for
callback.
