eMail
eMail (electronic mail) is
very similar to the mail the
postal carrier delivers to
your home or office—
except much faster.
You can send letters,
pictures, postcards—even
music and video clips—to
friends, family, and
co-workers in an instant.
Outlook Express is an eMail
program that comes with
your computer. Other eMail
programs include AOL and
Hotmail.
If you receive an error message
saying that your
eMail was undeliverable, check
the address, punctuation, and
spacing and then try sending it
again.
Tip
eMail
Setting Up Outlook Express eMail
1. Press the Instant eMail
ƒ
button on the Internet
keyboard.
2. Click the Send and Receive
button on the toolbar. A dialog box requesting your
password is displayed.
3. Type a password.
4. Click Remember Password to avoid retyping your
password each time you access the Internet.
5. Click OK. You are now set up and ready to use eMail.
Typing an eMail Message
Regardless of the eMail software you choose, creating an eMail
message is like filling out a form. When typing an eMail
message, you must complete the following:
You can also send a Bcc, known as a blind copy. The recipient
of the blind copy is not listed on the eMails received by the
other recipients.
