Configuring VTP
Note
In a Token Ring environment, you must enable VTP version 2 for Token Ring VLAN switching to

Configuring the VTP Mode
To configure the VTP mode, perform this task:

Enables VTP version 2.

Reverts to the default (VTP version 1).

Verifies the configuration.

(Optional for server mode) Defines the VTP domain
name, which can be up to 32 characters long. VTP server
mode requires a domain name. If the switch has a trunk
connection to a VTP domain, the switch learns the
domain name from the VTP server in the domain.

Note
You cannot clear the domain name.
