Make  sure  all  of  the  devices  you  will  connect  to  the  Switch  are 
powered off 

Connect  a  Category  5  Ethernet  network  cable  to  one  of  the 
numbered ports on the Switch  

Connect the Ethernet Network Cable

Connect the other end of the Ethernet network cable to a computer 
or other network device 

Repeat steps 2 and 3 to connect additional devices 

If you are using a Gigabit port, connect a Category 5e network cable 
to  a  Gigabit  port  on  the  Switch,  and  connect  the  other  end  to  a 
Gigabit server or other network device  

If you are using a miniGBIC port, then connect a miniGBIC module 
to a miniGBIC port  For detailed instructions, refer to the module’s 
documentation 

 

NOTE: The miniGBIC ports are compatible with the MGBSX1, 
MGBLH1, and MGBT1 

Connect the supplied power cord to the Switch’s power port  Plug 
the other end of the adapter into an electrical outlet 

Power on the devices connected to the Switch  Each active port’s 
corresponding LED will light up on the Switch
