Typical NTP Configuration Examples 499

This configuration task is to set the maximum local sessions. 

Perform the following configurations in System View. 

Table 575   Set the Maximum Local Sessions

 specifies the maximum number of local sessions, ranges from 0 to 100, and 

defaults to 100. 

After completing the above configurations, you can use the 

 command to 

show how NTP runs and verify the configurations according to the outputs. 

In User View, you can use the 

 command to debug NTP.

This section contains examples of typical NTP configurations.

On Switch1, set the local clock as the NTP master clock at stratum 2. On Switch 2, 
configure Switch 1 as the time server in server mode and set the local equipment as in 
client mode. (Note that Switch 1 must support setting local clock as the NTP master 
clock.)

Set the maximum local sessions

 number

Resume the maximum number of 
local sessions

Display the status of NTP service

Display the status of sessions maintained by NTP 
service

Display the brief information about every NTP time 
server on the way from the local equipment to the 
reference clock source.
