Specifies the Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP) region.

Description

Use this command to assign a name to an MSTP region. Use the no region command to delete the
name.

Usage

Guidelines

The region-name string has a maximum length of 32 characters and is case-sensitive.

Examples

To assign a name to an MSTP region named brocade1:

switch(config)#protocol spanning-tree mstp

switch(conf-mstp)#region brocade1
