2. Attach terminal lugs (located in the package containing 
literature) to line 1 (black), bare (green) ground, and line 2 (red) 
wires. Loosen (do not remove) the setscrew on the front of 
the terminal lug and insert exposed wire end through bottom 
of terminal lugs. Securely tighten setscrew to 
XX lbs-in. torque. See Bare Wire Torque Specifications chart.

Attaching terminal lugs to the terminal block - 20 lbs-in. (2.3 N-m)
3. Use 
³⁄₈" nut driver to connect the bare (green) ground terminal 
lug to the center terminal block post with one of the 10-32 
hex nuts.
4. Connect line 1 (black) and line 2 (red) terminal lugs to the 
outer terminal block posts with 10-32 hex nuts.
5. Securely tighten hex nuts.
6. Replace terminal block access cover.
Make Gas Connection
Typical flexible connection
1. Apply pipe-joint compound made for use with LP gas to the 
smaller thread ends of the flexible connector adapters (see B 
and G in the following illustration). 
2. Attach one adapter to the gas pressure regulator and the 
other adapter to the gas shutoff valve. Tighten both adapters.
3. Use a 
¹⁵⁄₁₆" combination wrench and an adjustable wrench to 
attach the flexible connector to the adapters. Check that 
connector is not kinked. 
4. Gas supply pipe must be located within clearance area as 
shown in the “Cabinet Dimensions” illustration in “Location 
Requirements” section.

WARNING
Explosion Hazard
Use a new CSA International approved gas supply line.
Install a shut-off valve.
Securely tighten all gas connections.
If connected to LP, have a qualified person make sure 
gas pressure does not exceed 14" (36 cm) water 
column. 
Examples of a qualified person include: 
licensed heating personnel, 
authorized gas company personnel, and
authorized service personnel.
Failure to do so can result in death, explosion, or fire.
