Multi-path configuration 

VMware has built-in multi-pathing. Assigning the command device to both HBA 1 and HBA 2 as 

shown below will enable VMware to provide multi-pathing.

In this scenario, the XP command device is mapped through Port 1 and Port 2 to HBA 1 and 

HBA 2 respectively. 
Configure the command device as a raw device visible to VM 1. 
Refer to “Appendix B” for instructions how to configure a VMware raw device.
