Connecting headphones
The RD-170 has two sockets for connecting head-
phones. This allows two people to listen through
headphones simultaneously, making it very useful
for lessons and when performing piano pieces for
four hands. Additionally, this allows you to play
without having to worry about bothering others
around you, even at night.

The RD-170 recognizes 127 steps and adapts

Using a second footswitch or expression pedal
The Pedal SOFT/EXPR. socket allows you to con-

footswitch or an EV-5 expression pedal. As only
one of these can be used at a time (footswitch
or expression pedal), you should first ask your-
