The battery system will provide approximately 

3

 hours of power to the 

Notebook when Power Management is disabled.  This figure will vary 
depending on how you use the power saving features, your general work 
habits, and the type of CPU and LCD that your Notebook has.  We recommend 
you use the AC Adapter as often as possible to conserve battery power. 

The System Window will indicate the status of the battery pack when you are 
using battery power. 

Please refer to the sections of the system status window in Chapter 3 for a 
complete description of each battery icon. 

When the battery has entered the critical battery state, the system will begin to 
beep, prompting you to save your data.  Failure to save at this time may result 
in data loss. 

To extend battery power, we recommend you make full use of the Notebook’s 
built-in power saving features discussed later in this chapter. 

Use the [Fn] + [F7] hot key combination to turn off the system beep. 

If system show “your battery need to do learning process” information after 
you turn on system with adapter power, it mean the battery’s gas-gauge 
accuracy become not so accurate, System want to do learning process for the 
battery when you don’t want to use this system. Battery learning process could 
make the battery’s gas-gauge funtion to get best accuraty and let your system 
get longest running time. 

You just need enter “yes” command when system inform you to do learning 
process for the battery, System will automatically charge the battery to full 
first, then dischatge the battery to empty, after this process, system will 
automatically shut down and chatge the battery to full.
