CHAPTER 1
System commands

You can set the real-time date clock for the 5100/6100 VDR by issuing the set date command. 
Syntax: set date <mm/dd/yyyy> or [month <mm>] [day <dd>] [year <yyyy>]
Arguments:

mm/dd/yyyy

the date in month, day, year format

For example, set date 02/08/2001 or set date month 02 day 08 year 2001 are equivalent.
Example:

In this example, the date is set and then the change is verified by issuing the show date command.

You can request that a previously downloaded or saved image or file be active upon the next reset 

by issuing the set file command.
Syntax: set file <image | configuration> <1 | 2> [filename <filename>] [requestactive]
Arguments:

configuration

sets the configuration location of the file and/or sets the 

location to use on the next reset

 image

sets the image file location file and/or set the location to use on 

the next reset

1 | 2 

loads the image or configuration into either location 1 or 2

filename 

specifies the filename to place

requestactive 

enables the operation at next reboot

Example:

In this example, the file named 

s020101

.bin is set to be the active image on the next reboot.
