Searching by elapsed time
Use this function to search by specifying the
elapsed time.

During playback, press the GO TO button.
The mode switches each time the button is
pressed.
Select “TIME”.

Input the elapsed time from which you want to
start playback using the number keys (“0” to
“9”
).
(Input the hours first, followed by the minutes,
then the seconds.)

(When 1 hour, 30 minutes is input as the elapsed

NOTES
• To input the elapsed time, the “+10” key is not used.
Use the number keys “0” to “9”.
• Press the CLR button to delete the last digit in the
elapsed time. Press the CLR button for at least 2
seconds to erase all the set times.
• Press the RTN button to cancel the elapsed time
search mode and resume normal playback.
• With DVDs, the precision of the elapsed time search
function differs from disc to disc.
• With video discs containing playback control (PBC),
function of “searching  by elapsed time” is not
available under the PBC ON status.  Press the
MENU button to turn the PBC function off.

Playback starts from the specified elapsed time.
Chapter/track/title
repeat playback
Use this function to play the disc’s titles, chapters
or tracks repeatedly.

During playback, press the RPT button.
The repeat mode switches each time the button
is pressed.

NOTES
• The track/disc repeat modes cannot be used on video
CDs with playback control (PBC).  Press the MENU
button to turn the PBC function off.
• For some discs it is not possible to switch the repeat
mode.
• For CDs, if repeat is OFF, there will be an automatic
changeover to the next disc after the disc finishes
playing.
For DVD and video CD, discs will not be switched
even if repeat is OFF. Use the remote control to
switch these discs. For further information about disc
switching, see “Selecting the disc” (on Page 11).
