Custom setting – Changing the
H.U. CONTROL settings
When connecting the equipment with an Ai-NET
compatible head unit or an Ai-NET compatible
AV-head unit, set the equipment so that it is
possible to control from the head unit.
NOTE
When the settings are changed, the old settings are
overwritten.  Make a note of the current settings before
making changes.  The settings are not cleared even
when the vehicle’s battery is disconnected.

In the stop mode, press and hold the SET button
for at least 2 seconds.
The setup menu appears.
NOTE
This operation cannot be performed in the PRE-STOP
mode. When the disc is being played, press the 
 button
twice to set the stop mode.

Use the Joystick to select “CUSTOM SETUP”,
then press the ENT button.

Move the Joystick up and down to select “H.U.
CONTROL”, then press the ENT button.

Move the Joystick up and down to select “ON”
or “OFF”, then press the ENT button.
Set to “ON” with ALPINE Ai-NET system
connected. Operations can be performed from
the Ai-NET compatible head unit or Ai-NET
compatible AV head unit.
Set to “OFF” without ALPINE Ai-NET system
connected.
NOTE
Press the RTN button to return to the previous screen.

Press and hold the SET button for at least 2
seconds.
The settings are stored and the set up mode is
canceled.

Turn off the vehicle’s ignition, then turn it on
again.
NOTES
When the DVD-CHG mode cannot be called at the
CVA-1006/CVA-1003/IVA-C801 side
•  “DVD-CHG” is not displayed on the menu screen at
the CVA-1006/CVA-1003/IVA-C801 side
The cause of this is that the DHA-S680 Ai-NET setting
is “CD-CHG.”
Use the following method to change the setting.
1. Press the CVA-1006/CVA-1003/IVA-C801 SOURCE
switch and select CD-CHG from the menu.
2. Select “AUX1” with the V.SEL switch. This will
display the DHA-S680 screen (when DHA-S680 is
connected to AUX1).
3. Set the Ai-NET setting to “DVD-CHG” with the
DHA-S680. See “Custom Setting – Changing the Ai-
NET settings” (on Page 30).
4. Switch OFF the car’s ignition switch, then switch it
back ON again.
