Other Useful Features
Operating from the head unit
The DHA-S680 can also be operated from the
ALPINE Ai-NET compatible head unit.
Refer to the manual of the head unit.
Note that some of the functions cannot be
operated from the DHA-S680.
Switch
Operation
SOURCE
Switches the audio source.
Turns the DVD player's power ON in the changer mode.
Turns OFF in a mode other than main changer.
TITLE
Switches the display pattern or the head unit. / 
Sets the title input mode.
DVD:  Repeat switching
Video CD/CD:  Repeat switching
Rotary
Encoder
Switches between play and pause.
Adjust the volume.
Starts playback from the beginning of the following
chapter/track.
When pressed and held in, fast-forwards the disc.
REPEAT
Starts playback from the beginning of the current 
chapter/track.
When pressed and held in, fast-reverses the disc.
Functions operable from the head unit
Playing DVDs, video CDs and CDs

Press the SOURCE button and select the
changer mode.
Changer mode:
The power of the DHA-S680 turns ON and
playback starts automatically.
Other modes:
The power of the DHA-S680 turns OFF
automatically.

To set the pause mode, press the 
 button.
Press the 
 button again to resume playback.
NOTES
• For video CDs with playback control (PBC), turn
PBC off.
• Titles can be input for video CDs and CDs.  For
details, refer to the operating instructions of the
connected head unit (only when "Ai-NET setting" of
DHA-S680 is set to CD-CHG mode).
• The disc name, track name, and other information
can be displayed on the display of the head unit for
music CDs that support CD text. This can only be
used with alphanumeric text (only when "Ai-NET
setting" of DHA-S680 is set to CD-CHG mode).
See the instruction manual of the head unit side for
further details.
The information cannot be displayed on TV monitors.
• SCAN and M.I.X. play for CDs and video CDs cannot
be performed.
