To Restore all Windows Journal Settings:

Tap Tools
→Options in the menu bar.

Tap on the Other tab.

Under Restore, tap the Restore button.
Journal Note Writer Has Appeared in Printers. Is this Normal?
Yes. Journal Note Writer is the virtual printer for the Journal
application.

How to Reinstall the Journal Note Writer Printer
If you have accidentally deleted this “printer,” replace it as fol-
lows:

Tap on Start.

Tap on Run.

Type in: journal /RepairNoteWriter.

Tap on OK.

Launch the Journal application.
Check in Printers to ensure Journal Note Writer is now present.
