Remote Module Configuration
Setting Receive User Name
The Remote Receive User Name is used to specify the user name that the Office Module must send if
Remote Receive Authentication has been enabled. This means the Office Send User Name must match the
Remote Receive User Name.
Remote Receive Authentication has been enabled. This means the Office Send User Name must match the
Remote Receive User Name.

The name may be up to 15 characters in length. Refer to Entering User Name/Password from the
Telephone.
•
For security reasons, once the User Name is entered, it will not be displayed on the telephone dis-
play.
•
The User Name will be displayed on the menu.
•
By default, no user name is used.

From the Set DOD Mode menu, press Nxt until you advance to the Set Receive User Name menu.

Press OK to access this menu.

If you want to enter a new Receive User Name, follow the guidelines described in Entering User
Names and Passwords from the Telephone near the beginning of this section.

After your entry is complete, press Enter. You will return to the Set Receive User Name menu.
Setting Receive Password
The Remote Receive Password is used to specify the password that the Switch unit must send if Remote
Receive Authentication has been enabled. This means the Switch Send Password must match the Remote
Receive Password.

place of the characters typed.

Setting Send Authentication
The Remote Send Authentication specifies the authentication protocol(s) the Remote Module is prepared to
use if the Office Module requests authentication. This means the Remote Send Authentication must match
the Office Receive Authentication. If the Office Module requests an authentication protocol the Remote
Module is not prepared to use, the connection will fail.
