Your WinBook XL is designed to provide you the best technology currently available, but
recognizing that computer hardware and software needs change quickly, we have designed the
WinBook XL to be easily upgraded to meet your changing computing needs.

 

The motherboard in your WinBook XL is made to allow for an upgrade to a faster processor
should that suit your future needs. It is not recommended that you attempt to do this yourself.
You should return the unit to the WinBook service center to have a faster CPU installed. You can
contact Customer Service at the number provide on the "Read Me First" card that came with
your WinBook XL to find out what processor might be available for your system.

 

Since RAM requirements for software programs are constantly increasing, your WinBook XL is
made to allow for an easy upgrade in system memory with custom SO-DIMM modules provided
by WinBook Corporation.

Your WinBook XL does have two memory slots that allow you to install new memory
configurations. One slot, usually the left slot, will already by occupied by a module. You can add
