Proper configuration of the maximum response time ensures that the host can 
reply to the query message quickly and that the router know the membership 
information of multicast group members in a timely manner.

Perform the following configuration in Interface view.

The shorter the max response time, the faster the router interdicts a group. 
Practically, the response time is an arbitrary value within the configurable range 
(from 1 to 25 seconds), by default the value is 10 seconds.

If there is no limit to the number of IGMP groups joining a router interface or a 
router, the router memory may be exhausted, causing the router to fail.

The limit to IGMP groups on a router interface can be configured by users, while 
the total of joined IGMP groups on a router is defined by the system and cannot 
be configured by users.

Perform the following configuration in interface view.

By default, the maximum number of IGMP groups on an interface is 1024.

The maximum numbers of IGMP groups on interfaces differs by the router type, 
for a centralized router it is 4096.

If the number of IGMP groups on an interface has exceeded the specified value 
during configuration, no IGMP groups will be deleted.

When an IGMP querier receives an IGMP Leave Group message from a host, the 
last member query interval can be specified for Group-Specific Queries.

The concerned commands are valid only to IGMP Version 2, since a host running 
IGMP Version 1 does not send IGMP Leave Group message when it leaves a group.
