the router during running is called current configuration.

Perform the following configuration in any view.

The user can modify the current configuration of the router through the command 
line interface. In order to make the current configuration as the startup 
configuration of the router at the next power-on, the 

 command is required 

to save the current configuration into the default storage device.

Perform the following in the User View. 

Executing the 

 command without the 

 keyword increases the speed of 

saving configuration files, but these files cannot survive a reboot or power-off 
during the saving process. Executing the 

command with the 

 

keyword slows the saving speed , but these files can survive a reboot or power-off 
during the saving process. 

By default, fast saving applies, which is recommended in an environment where 
stable power supplies are available. In an environment where stable power 
supplies are not available or in the case of remote maintenance, however, you are 
recommended to execute the command with the 

 keyword.

Using the 

 command, you can erase the 

configuration file in the current storage device of the router. After the 
configuration file is erased, default configuration parameters will be used for the
