The light from the metal-
halide lamp is split into
three spectral components
by dichroic mirrors and
modulated by the LCD
panels. After recomposition,
the picture is
enlarged onto the
screen by the
projection lens.

on BARCO’s LCD light-valve
technology which utilises three
5.8” active-matrix LCD panels
with a resolution of 756 by 556
pixels. 
Equipped with a high-perfor-
mance, proprietary Pixel Map
Processor, the B
ARCO
V
ISION
8200
is compatible with all Video
sources (PAL, SECAM, NTSC
3.58, NTSC 4.43), all high-
definition, extended and
improved television standards,
all computer standards up to
VGA resolution (640x480), as
well as SuperVGA (800x600)
signals through windowing
(1:1). 
The Pixel Map Processor
converts all incoming signals to
the full resolution of the LCD
panels in order to maximise the
light output and resolution of
the projector

The Pixel Map Processor
calculates every pixel to be
displayed by means of state-of-
the-art digital signal processing
techniques. The result is optimal
picture quality, with smooth and
exceptionally readable characters.
A convenient
backlit infrared
remote control unit
facilitates control
and adjustment of

V
ISION
8200.
Logical menus, intuitive on-screen
displays and built-in help menus greatly
simplify adjustment and control of the
projector.
Flexible installation
configurations
The B
ARCO

ISION
8200 can be used
in front or rear screen
installations, and in table or
ceiling mount configurations. In
addition, the projector can be
integrated in a dual or triple
stacked configuration on a single
screen.
