Web Management Interface Device View
The Device View is a Java
®
applet that displays the ports on the switch. This graphic provides
an alternate way to navigate to configuration and monitoring options. The graphic also
provides information about device ports, current configuration and status, tables, and feature
components.

To use Device View:
1.
Prepare your computer with a static IP address in the 169.254.100.0 subnet, for
example, 169.254.100.201.

Connect an Ethernet cable from an Ethernet port on your computer to an Ethernet port on
the switch.

Launch a web browser.

Enter the IP address of the switch in the web browser address field.
The default IP address of the switch is 169.254.100.100.
The Login screen displays.

Enter the user name and password.
The default admin user name is admin and the default admin password is blank, that is,

Click the Login button.
The web management interface menu displays.

Select System
Device View.
The port coloring indicates whether a port is currently active. Green indicates that the port
is enabled; red indicates that an error occurred on the port, or that the link is disabled.
