Question:
Is it possible to fetch the Cisco Logo image used in the End User Notification (EUN) pages using HTTP
instead of HTTPS?
Environment: Cisco Web Security appliance (WSA), EUN logo image enabled
By default, the "Cisco Logo image" displayed in the End−User Notifications pages is fetched using HTTPS.
The URL used is similar to: https://<WSA−IP−address>:8443/images/logos/ironport_logo.gif
In case, we want this logo to be sourced via HTTP, we would need to make the following changes:
−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−
On the web management interface, navigate to: "Network −> Interfaces −> Edit Settings" −> Under:
"Appliance Management Services" and un−check the option below:
1.
Redirect HTTP requests to HTTPS (HTTP and HTTPS Services will be turned on)
♦
Navigate to "Security Services −> End−User Notification −> Edit Settings" −> Under "Logo Image"
choose:
Choose the "Use Custom Logo:" option
♦
Configure URL: http://wsa:8080/images/logos/ironport_logo.gif where "wsa" is either the
name or IP address of the Management interface
♦
2.
Note:
8080 is the default setting for the HTTP port where the web management interface will be listening. If
the default value is changed, then make sure to use the correct value in the above URL.
•
You can be verify this value under: Network > Interfaces > Edit Settings > Under "Appliance
Management Services" > HTTP
