Chapter 4  MeetingPlace Web Requirements 

Planning for the MeetingPlace Web installation is essential to 
successful deployment. Before you begin the installation process, 
you should:

Dedicate a networked Windows server on which to install 

MeetingPlace Web. 

Configure Microsoft IIS 5.0 on the MeetingPlace Web 

server. 

(Optional) Install SQL Server 7 or SQL Server 2000 on the 

MeetingPlace Web server or on a separate Windows server. 
For additional information, refer to page 47.

(Optional) Procure and configure an audio server to convert 

audio attachments. For additional information, refer to 
page 41.

The following section lists the system requirements for the  
MeetingPlace Web system. As detailed in Table 4-1, the 
requirements depend on the installation option you choose (e.g., 
audio server and SQL Server support).

Note: These requirements are only for MeetingPlace Web on a 
customer-provided Windows server. For multiple gateway 
requirements, please refer to Chapter 3, “Telephony and LAN 
Planning”, in the MeetingServer 5.0 Installation Planning Guide 
or consult with your support representative.
