Chapter 4  MeetingPlace Web Requirements 

Typically, WAV files are supported by common Web browsers 
and do not require a dedicated server, encoder, and player. 

If you plan on deploying the audio service on multiple servers, 
refer to the documentation provided for the audio server

 

to ensure 

these servers meet the system requirements. Or, visit 
www.realnetworks.com (RealServer), www.microsoft.com 
(Windows Media) or www.xingtech.com (XingMP3).

For users who will be accessing Meeting Place Web through a 
proxy server, the following proxy server is compatible with 
MeetingPlace Web: 

iPlanet Web Proxy 3.6 with the following settings:

Caching turned off

Cache expiration policy set to “Explicit expiration 

information only”

iPlanet Web Proxy 3.5 and Microsoft ISA have also been tested 
for compatibility. iPlanet Web Proxy 3.5 is not compatible with 
MeetingPlace Web.

MeetingPlace requirements, perform the following checks:
