The recommended replacement for the Cisco ONS 15454 12-Port DS-3 Interface Card is the Cisco ONS 15454 12-Port Enhanced DS-3

Interface Card (Table 3). The replacement card can detect DS-3 logic bits to enable the identification of degrading DS-3 facilities caused by

upstream systems.
