Loading the Cartridge Tape
Your MeetingPlace M3 system is configured with a high-capacity tape drive
that provides 10 gigabytes of data storage on a single ¼ inch tape. The tape
drive uses the Travan-NS 20 cartridge tape.

To load a cartridge tape, follow these steps:

Hold the cartridge tape so that the Travan-NS label faces the LED lights
in the center of the chassis and the metal baselight faces the outer right
edge of the chassis. Insert the cartridge tape into the slot in the front of
the tape drive. See Figure 0-1 for tape drive location.

Gently push the cartridge in until it is loaded into the drive. Fully
inserted, it still sticks out of the drive bay about 1”.

Note: Only Travan-NS 20 cartridges should be used in the drive.
Never use DDS cartridges. You should also ensure that only one
label is stuck firmly to the label area of the cartridge. Do not
stick anything to the cartridge other than in the label area.

To unload the cartridge tape, simply pull the tape out.
Note: To write-protect a cartridge tape, slide the tab on the rear
of the cartridge so that the hole is open.
