Enable/Disable an Identity
Before You Begin
•
Be aware that disabling an identity removes it from associated policies.
•
Be aware that reenabling an identity does not re-associate it with any policies.
Step 1
Choose Web Security Manager > Identities.
Step 2
Click a policy name in the policies table.
Step 3
Check or uncheck Enable Identity in the Identity Settings field.
Step 4
Submit and Commit Changes.
Identities and Authentication
shows how the Web Proxy evaluates a client request against the Identities when
the Identity is configured to use:
•
No authentication surrogates
•
IP addresses as authentication surrogates
•
Cookies as authentication surrogates with transparent requests
•
Cookies as authentication surrogates with explicit requests and credential encryption is enabled
