The recommended replacement for Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series NAM Software 3.1 for the first-generation NAM is the Cisco NAM-1 or NAM-2 with 

NAM software 3.3.   

Customers can use the Cisco Technology Migration Plan (TMP) to trade in products and receive credit toward the purchase of new Cisco equipment.
