announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the Cisco
®
MDS 9000 Family 4-port IP Storage Services
Module. The last day to order the affected product is June 15, 2006. Customers with active service contracts will continue
to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until June 14, 2011.
Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this
announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco MDS 9000 Family 8-port IP Storage Services Module or the Cisco MDS 9000 Family 14/2-port
Multiprotocol Services Module, which offer IP storage services in form factors more optimized either for iSCSI or FCIP solutions, introducing with
the Cisco Multiprotocol Services Module new advanced functionalities such as hardware-based compression and encryption. Information about the
replacement products can be found at

for migrating to the replacement product.

Last Date of Support
The last date to receive service and support for the product. After this date, all support
services for the product are unavailable, and the product becomes obsolete.
