Use the XCA application in order to create a new XCA database or open a current XCA database, if
one already exists.
From the menu bar, navigate to File > New Database > <DB name of your choice>:

Click Save. Now you must enter a password for the encryption of your private keys that are
associated to this database. This password is only for the XCA database.

Click OK in order to finish the database creation.

From the Certificates tab, select New Certificate and the Create x509 Certificate screen appears.
No changes are required from the Source tab, as the default values can be used:
