Place Access Points
The final piece of the puzzle is to place the access points at the proper loca-
tion on your individual floor plans. The Wireless LAN Controllers that work in 
conjunction with the Cisco Wireless Control System give an accurate view and 
device location, if you take the time to place your access points where they 
actually are located.  

Step 1:

 Log in to Cisco WCS.

Step 2:

Navigate to Monitor > Maps.

Step 3:

 Select your new Floor plan, SBA-Headquarters.

Step 4:

 From the Right drop-down list, select Add Access Points and click Go.

Step 5:

 Select access points that are registered with the system and not yet 

placed for the headquarters building.

Step 6:

 Carefully place each access point as close to its real position in the 

building as possible and click Save.

NOTE:

 You must now wait while the system calculates the heatmaps from the 

placement and floor plan area.
