Configure HA services within contexts to allow the system to function as an HA in the 3G wireless data network. 

 

  This section provides the minimum instruction set for configuring an HA service that allows the 

system to process data sessions. Refer to the Command Line Interface Reference to configure additional HA service 
properties. Additionally, when you configure mobile IP, take into account the MIP timing considerations discussed in 
Appendix 1‚ R_MIP Timer Considerations. 

This section provides instructions for configuring HA services. These instructions assume that you are at the root 
prompt for the Exec mode: 

 

Enter the configuration mode by entering the following command:

Enter context configuration mode by typing: 

 

The context_name is name of the system context designated for HA service configuration. The name must be from 1 to 
63 alpha and/or numeric characters and is case sensitive.

Enter the following command to create the HA service: 

 

The ha_service_name is the name designated for the HA service. The name must be from 1 to 63 alpha and/or numeric 
characters and is case sensitive.
