Viewing Abridged Crash Log Information Using the CLI
You can view abridged crash information that is stored as a set of event records in flash memory on management cards
(/flash/crashlog2). Each crash event record has an associated dump file (minicore, NPU or kernel) that can also be
displayed (/flash/crsh2)

Follow the instructions in this section to view software crash events that have occurred on the system. These instructions
assume that you are at the root prompt for the Exec mode.

Step 1
View a list of software crash events by entering the following Exec mode command:

Information about similar crash events is suppressed in the output of this command.
The following table provides descriptions for the individual columns displayed in the output.

Displays an internal reference number for this event record in the log.
Time
Indicates the date and time that the software crash occurred in format: YYYY-MMM-DD+hh:mm:ss.
Process
Indicates the software task that experienced the crash.
Card
Indicates the slot number of the card on which the software task was running.
CPU
Indicates the CPU on which the software task was running.
PID
Indicates the process identification (PID) number of the software task that experienced the crash.
SW_Version
Indicates the version of software that experienced the crash in the format: RR.n(bbbbb).
HW_SER_NUM Card Indicates the hardware serial numbers of the card where the crash occurred.
SMC / Crash Card
Indicates the serial number of the System Management Card and the card that crashed.
