Cisco Cisco Packet Data Gateway (PDG)

Creates a Gs service instance and enters the Gs Service Configuration Mode. This mode configures the
parameters specific to the Gs interface between the SGSN and the MSC/VLR.

Exec > Global Configuration > Context Configuration

configure > context context_name

Entering the above command sequence results in the following prompt:

gs-service svc_name [ -noconfirm ]
no gs-service svc_name

Remove the configured Gs service from the current context.

Specifies the Gs service as a unique alphanumeric string of 1 through 63 characters.

Service names must be unique across all contexts within a chassis.

Executes the command without any additional prompt and confirmation from the user.

Use this command to create, edit, or remove a Gs service.

A maximum of 32 Gs service can be configured in one context/system. This limit is subject to maximum of
256 services (regardless of type) can be configured per system.
