A fall-over bfd multihop mhsess_name keyword has been added to this Context Configuration mode command. This
keyword enables fall-over BFD functionality for the specified multihop session. The fall-over bfd option uses BFD to
monitor neighbor reachability and liveliness. When enabled it will tear down the session if BFD signals a failure.

The ip route command now also allows you to add a static multihop BFD route.
ip route static multihop bfd mhbfd_sess_name local_endpt_ipaddr remote_endpt_ipaddr
Notes:
mhbfd_sess_name specifies the multihop BFD session name as an alphanumeric string of 1 through 79
characters.
local_endpt_ipaddr specifies the local endpoint address in IPv4 dotted-decimal or IPv6 colon-separated-
hexadecimal notation.
remote_endpt_ipaddr specifies the remote endpoint address in IPv4 dotted-decimal or IPv6 colon-separated-
hexadecimal notation.
Important:
SNMP traps are generated when BFD sessions go up and down (BFDSessUp and BFDSessDown).
