Upgrade Paths
Customers currently using the Cisco Configuration Engine 2.0 are encouraged to upgrade to the
Cisco Configuration Engine 3.0. Customers using the Cisco 2115 or Cisco 2116 Intelligence
Engine will not be able to run the 3.0 software and are encouraged to upgrade to the Cisco
Configuration Engine 2.0 prior to upgrading to 3.0.
Availability
Customers interested in purchasing or upgrading to the new Cisco Configuration Engine 3.0 may
place orders beginning Nov 26, 2008 through normal sales channels. Cisco Configuration Engine
contains encryption technologies controlled by the U.S. government, and users who want to
download software will be prompted to apply for permission to access the encrypted files.
Ordering Information
Table 2 lists ordering information for the Cisco Configuration Engine 3.0. Important: Cisco
Configuration Engine includes strong encryption technology that is restricted for some types of
U.S. exports.
