Overview
Introduction
This technical bulletin provides a revised procedure for installing a Power
Distribution Unit (PDU) in an 8-way Revision “A” Multimedia Tap.
Purpose
When upgrading Revision “A” 8-way Multimedia Taps with a PDU, we recommend
that you install a ground clip bracket on the tap faceplate.
The ground clip bracket:
The ground clip bracket:
improves the grounding between the tap and PDU,
improves the tap’s overall RF performance, and
meets published insertion loss specifications.
This procedure may easily be performed in the field at the tap location. The ground
clip bracket has been designed for a simple and technician-friendly installation. See
“Ordering information” for details on ordering the ground clip bracket.
