Uninstall the Alarm Manager Server Software

5 Is the Alarm Manager server running?
If yes, click Stop on the DBDS EMS Server Administration window and then
click Yes on the confirmation message. The Alarm Manager server stops and
the DBDS EMS Server Administration window closes.
If no, click Exit on the DBDS EMS Server Administration window and then
click Yes on the confirmation message. The DBDS EMS Server
Administration window closes.
6 From an xterm window on the Alarm Manager server, type cd /[Alarm Manager
installation directory]/UninstallerData and then press Enter. The /[Alarm
Manager installation directory]/UninstallerData directory becomes the working
directory.

Substitute the directory into which you installed the Alarm Manager server
software for [Alarm Manager installation directory].
You wrote down the Alarm Manager installation directory in step 13 of the
Install the Alarm Manager Server Software (on page 47) procedure.

directory, type cd /EMS/UninstallerData.
7 Follow these instructions to enable the system to record uninstall and error
messages in a logfile.
a Type LAX_DEBUG=true and then press Enter.
b Type export LAX_DEBUG and then press Enter.

8 Type sh Uninstall_EMS_UNIX > /tmp/uninstall.out 2>&1 and then press
Enter. The InstallAnywhere Uninstaller window opens.
9 Click Uninstall. The system uninstalls the Alarm Manager server software.
10 When the Uninstall Complete message appears, click Quit.
11 Type cd / and then press Enter. The root directory becomes the working
