Set the Clock on the TED (Optional)
Complete these steps to set the clock on the TED.
1 In a root xterm window, type date and then press Enter. The system date and

3 What type of TED is installed at the site you are upgrading?
If it is a TED-FX, type the following command and press Enter.
rsh –l root dncsted
If it is a TED-3, type the following command and press Enter.
ssh –l root dncsted
Note: The "l" is a lowercase L in each instance.
4 Type in the root password and press Enter. You are logged on to the TED as root
user.
5 Type date and press Enter. The TED date and time appear.

Compare the time results from step 1 with step 5. Do the date, time, and
timezone on the DNCS and TED match?

If yes, go to step 9.
If no, go to step 7.
7 At the prompt, type date [mmddhhmm] and press Enter.
