Remove Old BFS_REMOTE Entries
In this procedure you will remove old BFS entires in the
/dvs/dvsFiles/BFS_REMOTE directories. Follow these instructions to remove old
BFS_REMOTE entries.
1 If necessary, open an xterm window on the DNCS.
2 Complete the following steps to log on to the xterm window as root user.
/dvs/dvsFiles/BFS_REMOTE directories. Follow these instructions to remove old
BFS_REMOTE entries.
1 If necessary, open an xterm window on the DNCS.
2 Complete the following steps to log on to the xterm window as root user.
a Type su - and press Enter. The password prompt appears.
b Type the root password and press Enter.
b Type the root password and press Enter.
3 Type the following command and press Enter to change to the
/dvs/dvsFiles/BFS_REMOTE directory.
cd /dvs/dvsFiles/BFS_REMOTE
4 Type the following command and press Enter to check for old entries.
ls
5 Did the output from step 4 reveal any files or directories?
If yes, type the following command and press Enter to remove these files or
directories.
directories.
rm -r *
If no, type the following command and press Enter to leave the
/dvs/dvsFiles/BFS_REMOTE directory.
/dvs/dvsFiles/BFS_REMOTE directory.
cd
6 Go to the next procedure in this chapter.
