Cisco Cisco Prisma II EDR Receiver Hoja De Datos
Description
In many cable systems today, transmitters,
amplifiers, and receivers can be configured in
a redundant mode. There will be “Main”
modules and “Backup” modules. In the Prisma
II
amplifiers, and receivers can be configured in
a redundant mode. There will be “Main”
modules and “Backup” modules. In the Prisma
II
Platform, these modules are configured as
Master / Slave. This Master / Slave
configuration requires a physical “pin-to-pin”
connection from the Master module to the
Slave module. If a Prisma II Redundancy Interface Panel is not used, the pin-to-pin connections must be made at
an external DB-37 connector/cable tied to the Prisma II Chassis.
The Prisma
configuration requires a physical “pin-to-pin”
connection from the Master module to the
Slave module. If a Prisma II Redundancy Interface Panel is not used, the pin-to-pin connections must be made at
an external DB-37 connector/cable tied to the Prisma II Chassis.
The Prisma
II Redundancy Interface Panel is a rack mount interface designed to make that external pin-to-pin
connection for Master / Slave functionality in Prisma II Modules much easier to implement. Once the Prisma
II
Redundancy Interface Panel is connected to a Prisma II Chassis, Master/Slave can be easily connected using lever
operated terminals on the front of the Prisma
operated terminals on the front of the Prisma
II Redundancy Interface Panel.
