Cisco UCS 6332 Port Numbering
Each port on the Cisco UCS 6332 is numbered, and groups of ports are numbered based on their function.
The ports are numbered top to bottom and left to right.
shows how ports are numbered and the table below explains how each port group functions.

Ports 1—12. Each port can operate as either a
40 Gbps QSFP+ port or as 4 x 10 Gbps SFP+
breakout ports (northbound or southbound).
2
Ports 13—14. Each port operates as a 40 Gbps
QSFP+ port and each can also accept a Quad to
SFP or SFP+ adapter (QSA) for 10 Gbps or 1 Gbps
support. These two ports cannot operate as 4 x
10 Gbps breakout ports, so the only way for
them to operate at 1/10 Gbps (northbound or
southbound) is to utilize a QSA transceiver.
3
Ports 15—26. Each port can operate as either
a 40 Gbps QSFP+ port or as 4 x 10 Gbps SFP+
breakout ports (northbound or southbound).
4
Ports 27—32. Each port operates as a dedicated
40 Gbps QSFP+ port

Notes
1. These ports can be used for northbound and southbound connections. In addition, these ports (27-32) do not
support passive cables. You must use AOC or optics for these ports.
